Our Approach to Early Childhood Education

At The Cow Jumped Over The Moon, we follow the CAPS curriculum, integrating theme-based learning each week to keep our young learners engaged and curious. Our programme is designed to stimulate the mind, body, and spirit, ensuring a holistic development approach. Children participate in a variety of activities, including art, movement, basic life skills, and even robotics, fostering creativity and critical thinking from an early age.

Age-Appropriate Learning Environments

We understand that each age group has unique developmental needs. To cater to this, our classes are divided into age-specific groups, ensuring that children receive the appropriate care and attention. Our facilities include separate playgrounds for different age groups, equipped with age-appropriate equipment to ensure safety and promote physical development.

For Children Aged 2 to 4

Two classes for 2–3-year-olds and two Grade '000' classes.
Small class sizes with qualified teachers and assistants.
A separate playground with age-appropriate equipment.
Extra-mural activities such as dancing, soccer, swimming, modelling, martial arts, Build Em Brix, Wiggle & Jam, and Rugby Tots.
Weekly theme-based learning and Friday baking sessions.
Monthly educational shows to enrich learning experiences.

For Children Aged 5 to 6

Two Grade '00' classes and two Grade 'R' classes.
Small class sizes with qualified teachers.
A separate playground with age-appropriate equipment.
Continuation of extra-mural activities.
Preparation for Grade One with a focus on school readiness.
Monthly educational shows to enhance learning.

Comprehensive Care and Support

We believe in providing comprehensive care to our students. Our programme includes:

A cooked breakfast, two snacks, and a cooked lunch daily.
All necessary toiletries provided.
Access to an educational psychologist for assessments on-site.
A fully supervised child minding service to ensure safety and peace of mind for parents.
